General elections for each office are held every four years. Rural municipalities hold an election for selected divisions every two years; however, each council member holds office for a four-year term.

The next Municipal election happens on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, to elect the Reeve and, councilors representing odd-numbered divisions in rural municipalities.

By-elections are held when council vacancies occur outside of the normal election cycle.
